Refuge des Marches

Refuge keepers since 2005 in Haute Maurienne, we have had high mountain experience at the Carro and then Evettes refuges for 12 years. With our three children, we have been at the Marches refuges for 7 summers. Peaceful and green place; the valley of the marches is a confidential place, for lovers of large natural spaces which can only be reached by the strength of the calves!
We share the valley with the shepherd and his sheep, he has been coming for 26 summers with his dogs and donkeys.
The valley is in a white zone, so you can enjoy the tranquility.

A carbon assessment was carried out in 2023. One night at the Marche refuge is 10 kg of CO² and we are working to improve this assessment.
We favor short supply chains, organic meat from cows from St Michel de Maurienne, organic bread from Angélique from Saint Julien Mont Denis, cheeses including Beaufort from the Haute Maurienne cooperative, charcuterie from the Favre butcher shop in Modane, wine from La Combe. of Savoie Quenard,..
Particular care is taken on the picnics which are Zero plastic since made at the shelters.
We cook everything on site using raw, organic and/or local quality products.
