The Trail du Galibier Thabor is a renowned trail competition for all levels in the middle of unspoiled and wonderful nature.
Go on an adventure on August 20, 2022 with the Galibier Thabor trail or its other components. You have the choice between 10 courses for all levels. The flagship event is the Galibier Thabor trail. Lasting 67 km, in 2 stages and a bivouac between Valmeinier and Valloire, it is an unmissable event for trail enthusiasts!
Children can also participate with reduced and adapted courses taking place in joy and good humor.
Departing from Valmeinier, you will also find the Trail du Thabor (32 km) and the Trail du Lac Vert (12 km) for shorter but equally spectacular circuits.
THE VALMEINIER CIRCUITS
Lac Vert Nordic walk – 12km
You leave from Center Station Valmeinier 1800 and follow the Neuvache stream. You are in the Natura 2000 area of Thabor. The circuit takes you to Lac Vert. After a final steep climb, you will descend via the Combe Orsière track and the butterfly path. Open your eyes wide, they are all around you!
Arrived at the bucolic zone of Lières (to see absolutely!), you go up in the direction of the center of the station.
A Nordic walk close to nature, discovering the local flora and fauna!

Register your child(ren) for this very playful Trail des Louveteaux in a supercharged family atmosphere. A finish on the finish line of the "big guys".
Race organized and supported by the Valmeinier Tourist Office, within the village of Valmeinier.
Price: €5 per race.
Online registration until Thursday, August 18 midnight. Withdrawal of bibs on Saturday from 7 to 30 a.m. at the multipurpose room Jo Mulet.

Bivouac, entertainment, massages and treatments at the Rochilles military camp, where you will find your luggage. Meals (dinner and breakfast) will be provided by the organization.
Sailing Sunday 21, at 7:30 a.m., from the Rochilles camp for the second stage of 32 km 1240m D+ and 2250m D-, in the “Pursuit” format, Gundersen model and arrival in Valloire. Your luggage will be transported until the arrival.
Possibility to have your children looked after during the two days of the race at the Auberge D+ Valloire.
A shuttle can be set up by reservation. It will connect Valloire to Valmeinier on Saturday August 20 at 6 a.m. and on Sunday August 30 after the prize giving. The shuttle is subject to reservation up to 21 days before departure. It is reserved for participants in the “Trail du Galibier-Thabor” race and is offered to them.
Compulsory equipment for the camp:
- Sleeping bag
- Membrane windbreaker with hood
- Headlamp
- External battery (or other means) to charge phones
- Warm clothes (trousers, fleece, gloves, hat), you will sleep at an altitude of 2m
- The organization provides the tents.
- A mattress is strongly recommended.
