Gwape (a): n. Said in Savoyard patois of the one who drinks. A lot. From someone who is very thirsty!
A beer “made in Valmeinier”

It was in Valmeinier Villages that a couple of brewers, Chloé and Adrien, decided to open their micro-brewery called La Gwape. They offer you a 100% local beer, brewed in Valmeinier Villages.
Based on Valmeinier spring water, the "Gwape" are available in 4 recipes: blond (Mountain Pale-Ale), white (American wheat beer), amber (Amber Atale) and India Pale-ale (bitter beer) and a beer of the moment inspired by Chloé, the brewer!

CHLOÉ AND ADRIEN, BREWERERS AND MANAGERS OF LA GWAPE MICRO-BREWERY
Chloe and Adrien's adventure began when they received a beer making kit, which sparked a new passion. Chloé has now been a professional brewer since 2018. With her companion Adrien, they decided to open a micro-brewery in Valmeinier in order to combine the pleasure of a bar and the technical mastery of brewing. Adrien is the bartender and Chloé is the couple's brewer. In France, there are around a hundred women brewers, including Chloé: a bright future for micro-breweries!
It uses Valmeinier water, pure mountain water, which is a guarantee of quality for beer.
All the beers, bottles and drafts are concocted in their brewpub in the old village.

Vacationers talk about it best
A great time spent at La Gwape! A very pleasant welcome, clear explanations, tastings in a good mood. The beers are excellent. A visit to absolutely recommend!
Nice visit on Tuesday afternoon, remember to book early. Tasting of 5 draft beers, brewed by a woman who masters her subject! IPA is the best seller. Great time. To do.
