About
The GALIBIER-THABOR Ski Area (160km of slopes) includes the resorts of Valmeinier and Valloire. It refers to two emblematic summits of the region which culminate at more than 3000m of altitude.
- 160 km of tracks divided into 89 tracks of all levels
- from 1430 to 2750 meters above sea level
- 1320 m of altitude difference
- 29 ski lifts including 2 gondolas, 17 chairlifts and 10 drag lifts
- 4 lifts accessible to pedestrians
- 89 tracks: 8 black, 33 red, 32 blue, 16 green
- 70% of the Ski Area is located above 2000 m
- optimal snow coverage from December to April thanks to more than 720 snow guns. Artificial snow covers slopes of all levels, from beginners to world cup slopes
- 4 slalom stadiums and 3 approved international competition tracks
- Freestyle areas: 1 progressive Snowpark, 1 DVA park, several fun areas spread over the Domain, night skiing.
Artificial snow, a 100% natural process!
Natural production from water without additives. Thanks to the low temperatures, the water droplets propelled into the air turn into flakes. When the snow melts, artificial snow also undergoes a return to a liquid state and returns to streams and other nature reserves.
