On the slopes of Mont-Thabor, to the west of the Etroite valley pass, the Thabor refuge is a stage of the GR5, GR57-Tour du Thabor and the GTA (Grande Traversée des Alpes).
At the crossroads of Savoie, the Hautes-Alpes and Italy, Mont-Thabor 3178m represents an exceptional viewpoint over the entire Alpine massif.
This wild route between lakes and scree leads to a summit where the mineral landscape becomes lunar and the panorama is exceptional: Grandes Jorasses, Matterhorn, Grande Casse… An overnight stay at the Thabor refuge allows you to complete the route in two stages.

Between the Southern Alps and the Northern Alps, the Thabor massif is a paradise for hiking and roaming. A multitude of lakes, varied geology, grandiose landscapes... At the refuge, Charline and Ludovic, a couple of friendly caretakers, welcome and advise families and hikers on their way to the ascent of Mount Tabor (3178 m). They will delight you with homemade dishes made from organic, local and artisanal products.
