Description
From the center of the resort, go to the Chenalette car park by the footbridge which crosses the road then the track. From the Chenalette car park, take the path that goes up to the Ordière and its beacon. Follow the direction of Lac Vert until you reach the cross then the Portête sign a little higher, under Lac Vert.
At this intersection, leave the path on the right which leads to Lac Vert, to continue, by the path on the left in the direction of the Refuge de Terre Rouge, to sink into this magnificent valley.
At the Terre Rouge refuge, continue towards Lake Curtalés.
Along the way, you will pass in front of a blockhouse then cross a scree overlooking the Plan du Fond, to finally reach the objective of this walk and its so relaxing banks.
Note that it is possible to make a small detour of a few hectometres to see Rond Lake and Cornu Lake located 200 meters south-east of Curtalés Lake. To do this, follow the clearly visible path that goes in this direction.
After taking full advantage of the place, begin the descent by the same path, then after passing the scree leave the path to the right to reach the banks of the Neuvache and its footbridge (under the Barmettes sheepfold).
Cross the Neuvache and continue on the left path which will first pass in front of the chapel of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges before joining the Ordière and its beacon.
There, all you have to do is follow the path taken at the start of this hike to the right to reach the starting car park.
