Rafting

Rafting is a team whitewater sport. Led by a guide, this consists of descending a river using an inflatable boat which generally accommodates 8 team members.
Rafting is a recreational outdoor activity, because in addition to discovering the landscapes during calm moments, you are full of emotions when it comes to passing the eddies and other rapids.
At the start of each descent, the guide positions the crew in the raft and explains the handling of the paddle as well as the maneuvers and safety measures.

– Discovery: This is a descent accessible to children aged 7 and over as soon as they know how to swim.
With the instructor, you take a minibus which takes you to the start, to the village of Casset at the top of the Serre-Chevalier valley, to raft down to Villeneuve, 7 km of descent, 1 hour on the river. It takes 2 hours in total.
Overall the descent is easy but active, there is a small 300m rapid in the middle of the course.
