La boucle du Chien-Loup
Itinerary that will take you to the forest of Chien-Loup and its "inhabitants", the coolness of the forest during the summer periods.
From the Valmeinier 1800 Center Station snow front, reach the top of the Station by following “sous Pré-Aynard” then after the tunnel take the motorable track which goes up to the right towards the “Roi”.
At the “King” take the path on the left, downstream of the vehicle track and follow it until crossing the Eglantiers ski slope. After crossing Les Eglantiers, enter the forest following this same path until reaching “sur Chien-Loup”. From there, take the direction “Bois Bouchet” and follow the path downhill. In Bois Bouchet, continue towards Chien Loup then “Epilobe”. From there, take the track back to Croix des Charmettes, then head towards La Saussette and join Valmeinier 1800 Center Station.
At the “King” take the path on the left, downstream of the vehicle track and follow it until crossing the Eglantiers ski slope. After crossing Les Eglantiers, enter the forest following this same path until reaching “sur Chien-Loup”. From there, take the direction “Bois Bouchet” and follow the path downhill. In Bois Bouchet, continue towards Chien Loup then “Epilobe”. From there, take the track back to Croix des Charmettes, then head towards La Saussette and join Valmeinier 1800 Center Station.
